    Stage 1: Fire anyone who has been taught modern computing methods.

    Stage 2: Find a few wrinklies who knew how to actually write good compact code that didn't just rely on an optimising compiler

    Stage 3: Hire people who have never even seen a computer and get the wrinklies to teach them

    Alternatively

    Hire load of Python & web developers - it will crawl along but at least it will look pretty (for a given value of pretty)

    Covers the amount of paper bureaucrats use for printing emails. On the other hand ECMWF uses a DSL already for decoupling logic from HPC implementation. The article doesn’t add much to that.
