A trendy Louis Vuitton handbag will set you back nearly $3,000 these days, but a scaled-down version has been sold for more than 20 times as much. And when we say scaled down, we do mean scaled down – to 657 x 222 x 700 micrometers. So the proud owner who dropped $63,750 on the item through record producer Pharrell William's …

It's been bought by Suella Braverman, she's using it to carry her humanity...

      Naah. Too big for that!

      "bought by Suella Braverman"

      Who?

Never mind. Probably outside my demographic.

      1. doublelayer Silver badge

She is the current Home Secretary of the UK, in charge of immigration (among other things, but that's the one that gets a lot of publicity). She is also a prominent Brexit supporter. So it's probably more outside your country than your demographic, but now you have the headline.

        1. Martin-73 Silver badge

If she's a prominent brexit supporter she should exit britain. Preferably via lands end... I am willing to livestream it

          Ta.

Usually I keep up on that kinda thing, but this person seems to have kept herself out of the international news.

Interesting take. I assume you're in favour of open and unlimited migration and also happy to fund the lawyers that keep preventing the government from taking any action.

I don't have to assume that you only believe in the rule of law when it favours your own views. You openly state as much.

See Thomas Benjamin Wild's amusing I've no more f***s to give recording for details. Link very NSFW by the way - but, hey, it's a Friday afternoon so there!

"the final word in bag miniaturization"

    Nonsense.

I created a Vuitton replica that was smaller than the dot at the end of this line.

Unfortunately, just when I finished, the cat jumped on the desk and the resultant air flow blew it away . . .

I saw something like that "in real life"*

Some poor guy building circuit boards unexpectedly sneezed over a pot of very small surface-mount devices...

This would be ideal for SWMBO. She's always complaining her bag is too heavy. Something like this would stop her putting so much stuff in it. Problem solved!

"who kindly threw in a microscope with a digital display"

With specially prepared pictures 'shopped pre-loaded for your viewing pleasure?

I'd be more impressed if it came with a standard optical microscope. Who is to say that the object that the sucker bought is nothing more than a spec of green beach glass ...

I thought it should of been an optical display, especially to show off the details. I have a 4k monitor on a new 4k Starvis scope and the detail is still lacking enough to justify changing length. It looks good if you're not looking for detail, but if your are, you're either squinting or changing length.

The model in this case is "should have been", you illiterate buffoon. The contraction is incorrect in this case, even in written English.

One should never contract a perfect infinitive, or so my A-level English teacher beat into me.

Just so long as you can dance around in a disco or use it to slap someone at dawn[1], it qualifies.

Can we have the name and address of the buyer? I have a beautiful suit of the most diaphanous silk, which can be appreciated by only the most, ahem, discerning buyer. I’d like to sell it to them. It folds down beautifully - they could probably put it in their bag.
