So if the 10 previous sanctions didn't work, then the 11th will be devastating to the Russian economy. Say the same people who said that if covid vaccines didn't work it was because of the unvaccinated and that we need 5th booster to finally overcome that humanity-threatening worldwide pandemic.
What about the North-Stream pipeline explosions, did the European Commission launch an independent investigation ?
Sanctions never work, until they do.
It takes time for sanctions to have full effect and that effect is cumulative.
Vaccines also take time, as the percentage of vaccinated people increase the spread slows down - this is why C19 is less of a threat now than it was 3 years ago.
As for the pipeline sabotage, the only vessels recorded as being near to the site in the relevant time period was a Russian ship with deep operations equipment.

I thought that the latest instructions was to say that some Ukranians did it using a sailboat, didn't you get the memo ? The "Russians blew up their own infrastructure " line has been deprecated, you should get in touch with your local correspondent for updates.
Iran might be a better example to use for durable goods. Basics like foodstuffs are different-- Russia is already a lot cheaper than countries like the UK.
The shops in Iran seem to have exactly the same stuff as anywhere else. The stuff costs about the same in their currency as it would cost in the West. The reason for this is obvious -- its all made in China.

The EU should jail any corporate or executive or staff member that signs their name or approves any sales of any kind to Russia.

Exports of all electric and hybrid vehicles have also been banned, as have all cars with engines of 1900cm³or larger.
So no Mercs, BMWs, VAGs, Ferraris, Lambos etc etc. Who's that going to hurt more, EU automakers, or Russia? Will China care, or will it ignore the EU and keep selling to Russia? Does Russia really care about being shut out from the EV revolution? Does Russia really care when I think both Ford and GM have abandoned engine production plants in Russia, plus it has abundant resources to churn out iron or aluminium engine blocks, or wind motors?
Maybe Russia, China and India will just partner up to produce vehicles that don't have PAYG heated seats. This will be excellent news for the EU's automakers, no?
