    How come the malware people manage to get decent programmers who know how to use meaningful names when some of us start to feel grateful if we get a CalcVal()?

    I bet they even use naming conventions so you can at a glance if a line of code is using static, global, local or member variables!

      That was all programming 101, when I learnt programming, back in the 80s.

      Only on primitive BASIC versions, which only supported single letter variables was that not the case.

    Personal belief

    Whenever the NSA and friends accuse some other state-sponsored agency of malicious intent -- I believe them.
