    So, which lobby group won that round ?

    Because let's be honest here, this is not a courageous political decision. Avoiding entanglements with Beijing is par for course, but apparently some big purses were still pushing for inclusion.

    I'm not sure why the West allows a Chinese company to buy ANY West-based/owned company. The West is forbidden from buying ANY Chinese company. Why don't we just level the playing field?

        “No additional restrictions” should be a restriction

        Only companies subject to compatibly enforced regulatory terms should be allowed to own meaningful shares of other companies, this way, ties to China become irrelevant, as long as the regulatory terms are fair and free to begin with.
