    ...is that Micron is large enough to shrug China off. I could be wrong.

    If China wants to be OCD with technology? Let them. Free and open markets will win because, guess what? They are free and open.

    Well, obviously Micron's crime is exactly the same as Huawei's. They're both guilty of being Too Competitive While Foreign. And, possibly, with refusing to co-operate with snoops and spooks in countries other than their own.

      Not sure why you got down votes, except maybe because Huawei DID cooperate with the British and US spooks.

      Remember, even officially, "Security concerns" does actually cover economic risk.

      or perhaps they couldn't find their mandatory "security module" in it? you know, the one that allows remote diagnostics so the government can check that the device is properly secure or something

    It failed becasue they would not give them access to the companies IP , so they could "vet" it was secure.....
