Still some way to go

I like these bots, but there's still a long way to go before they're genuinely useful. For example:

Narrow field of vision.

Recently Google moved all it's resources into LLM AI for chat and coding to exactly match Microsoft head to head - while cutting other ventures such as, uh... , robotics? Not exactly my field but I don't think its a stretch to see that AI could be address hard problems like sensitive grasping with complex robot "hands", stuff that could really help with factory safety and automation, or fruit picking, etc. Fields that are riper for picking than quantum computing.

I have no doubt that many practical engineers in China are already thinking along those lines and will do it, soon.
