    I can't say I'm surprised by this. Every "revolutionary breakthrough" in AI seems to turn out to be smoke and mirrors, and the stuff that works is in subjects with very little ambiguity.

    Text training models like ERNIE and ChatGPT and so on are fun to play with, but as they stand at the moment they don't look like they're going to fulfil the goal of being genuinely "intelligent" any time soon.
