There are some demographic issues hitting some organisations: in industry where people who were at the forefront of SAP in the 90s are now starting to retire," Cooper said.

    You could flip the statement the other way around and ask why someone in their 20s would want to learn SAP.

      The answer is simple - money.

      If you can't build a career around something, then there is no point investing time in it.

      Then you have wage stagnation over the years - where people who actually know stuff no longer think it's worth their time, so they retire early.

      It's not even possible to run a business servicing such technology because of things like IR35, where your company gets taxed on revenue, unlike big corporations who are allowed to make profit.

      So there you go. The greedy rich lobbied government to pull up the ladders and know are caught pants down worried nobody wants to work.
