Only today (as of writing this), at least one major German paper talks about arguments within the 3-party coalition, because chancellor Scholz and the SPD, as the leading party, are moving blindly along the same road that prior governments did with Russia. Leading them to total dependency on Putin's whims (or, as former chancellor Schröder called him "a crystal-pure democrat" (*)) back then, and the same - arguably even worse - with Xi. Scholz is in China right now, kowtowing to Xi and his court.
The Greens and the Liberal-Democrats are against it, but we'll see how far they are willing to push.
(*) no seriously, don't laugh. Gerhard Schröder called Putin a "lupenreiner Demokrat" - and he's still best buds with him. Google it!
