So his parting gift was most certainly not a Jesus phone I'm guessing.
Cult leader meets the Pope: Apple CEO chats to Francis
It was only a matter of time before the maker of divine products met the maker's representative on Earth. And so it came to pass yesterday that the Pope granted a special audience to Apple CEO Tim Cook. Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State, spent time with the Apple overlord …

Re: Pope granted a special audience to Apple CEO Tim Cook
It was the poet John Milton who called it an apple.
But I do find it funny that the Apple-1's price tag was US$666.66 (wasn't 666 the mark of the beast in Revelation? what were they thinking?) and the iPhone starts with the letter "I" (they said it was for "information" but nowadays everyone's forgotten that so I wouldn't be surprised if someone called it an "I" as in "me", "selfish" sinner phone). Not to mention the naming of Darwin OS, and the bite taken out of the apple logo. But then we humans are rather good at picking out patterns even when they're not there.

Re: Cult leader meets cult leader...
“What did the Roman Catholics ever do for us?“
You’d best ask the choir boys, and the orphans and unmarried mothers in “care homes” all about that…
(Representatives of other imaginary friend fan clubs committing similar reprehensible acts are, sadly, also available.)

Re: the maker's representative?
"Catholics" then.
Best not take the religion bit of religion too seriously though, just take the good moral bits and ignore the rest.
I mean it was (allegedly) started by 'something' who made humans that are falable and prone to all those bad things like want and greed. They then, after making them, pointed them at a metaphorical button with a sign that says 'Do not push'.
Is anyone suprised at the outcome?
If _I_ did that with cakes and some of my less self controlled work colleagues it'd be seen as workplace bullying, when God does it however it's some kind of 'lesson'.
Pfft.
