    Blah, blah, blah

"What we can say is we take the safety of our platform extremely seriously... "

    Clearly you dont

Cloudflare were targeted and they didn't fall for it, which shows your procedures were inadequate. So fuck off with your bullshit lies and ACTUALLY take it seriously.

    From the article

company spokesperson told The Register. "The advanced tactics used in this incident are identical to the tactics used against several other companies.

So I have to ask, if they knew that, then why didn’t they lean from it? Yes I know. Stupid fucking question.

Though maybe we should give them some slack being that it was a “sophisticated” attack /s.

    Arseholes.

    As a kid with landlines

I once got a phone call from a friend, cool, but then he proceeded to ask me if? I was at home... ?? My response was 'what number did you dial?'

Wait, you have my username, and probably password, but you want to know it?

If you don't know where you are, you're lost!

      Meh

Re: As a kid with landlines

I see spam and malware emails that are sent to my email address but show the address name as being people I work with, friends on social media, and even my mothers name (she's 98 and does nothing with computers these days) ... so it suggests there is a dark database out there which gives people information about me and other people too.

    credit-card mania

Cubic ass-yards of these problems wouldn't affect people if they'd pay with cash instead of with a credit card.

      Re: credit-card mania

Delivery services, or pretty much anything online, want payment up-front instead of at delivery. So it's pay with cash OR get stuff delivered.

        Re: credit-card mania - options

Just did a quick check. Computer stuff -- NewEgg.com - doesn't take cash; DigiKey: "Several convenient payment options are available: Check, money order, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, C.O.D. and we also extend credit to qualified institutions and companies. A credit application can be obtained by calling 1-800- 344-4539 and talking to any sales representative."

Papa Johns (local pizza chain) "The Papa Johns app offers multiple payment options – you can choose from: Cash, credit, gift cards, Visa Checkout, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Paypal."

So, with a web search, you can find vendors which don't require credit cards, and avoid a fraud vector. It's your choice.
