    I think we have a new defining case for Frenemies

    If it weren't for the regulatory problems, I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung in particular told them to pound (highly refined and purified) sand. TSMC's situation is a little more complex, but I don't see this love in lasting beyond Intels fab sampling the new advanced process nodes it's shooting for to prove to the other fabless players that it's not vaporware. It also wouldn't surprise me to see Intel get is fingers caught in the anti-trust cookie jar as it has so often before when it ends up a generation behind the competition.

    Maybe this time the charges will stick and competition will remain healthier for a few years.
