    Does El Reg plan to take a stand at those cons or just intermingle and go with the ebb and flow of others not into making a stand and taking a scene and vice versa?

    An absence of notable presence suggests nothing of importance and/or interest to sell which is not at all truly representative of goods and services supplied to the tech community part of Situation Publishing.

    To miss the chances to lead and driver events forward with the power and energy that is relatively anonymously and practically autonomously delivered and supplied by virtual rhetorical momentum is more than just a complex undeserved sin and worthy simple shame ..... but a crime against humanity would a fantastic charge far too outrageous and ridiculous to ever have any vain hope of successful acceptance for prosecution and judgement. Such are just valuable jolly jape opportunities for global engagement and application deployment missed rather than lost ..... for the Truth goes on and always pops out where it is really needed and invariably exactly at the right time it is needed too, to create the greatest of impacts, for who cannot say ... Since time and space began in IT and AI, such is always the case without notable exceptions.
