    It's a jungle out there

"a notorious market rife with counterfeit kit", like Amazon?

Was looking for portable HDD and kept coming across 'sponsored' 10TB drives that all looked the same. Let's see reviews for some of them: "This is another well written album for Nam Nation!", "These wine glasses are so mf beautiful!!!!!", "Bought these glasses because I wanted glasses with an iridescent quality.", "why are all the reviews for truck tail lights?"

Brand name? You betcha "Agfddassd", "Uiklegssd", "Kdkfdfssd", "KIMLOUUY"

And yes, the older 'products' also have at least some reviews saying "this is a scam". And today, *newer* 'products' are now saying 16TB. This scam going on since at least 2019.

And some here might remember the thumb drive size scams from years ago as precedent, so not a shocker to the industry.

    Amazon is notorious now?
