    "Elvis Presley died in 1977"

Really? What proof of that do you have? There's a guy works down the chip shop who swears he's Elvis. And also, is he not supposed to be driving a London double-decker bus on the moon (at least according to The Sunday Sport)?

      Ah, the good ol' Sport...

He's American. Why would he be driving a London double-decker bus?

He might have taken it to get to the B52 bomber and fly it away, though.

I'd suggest you find yourself a fine shovel and start digging. When you get to the bones, you know the truth.

Such endeavor may take quite a few years to finish from start to bones. In that time, you may find yourself in the same position as the alleged king: dead and no longer aware of death. But that may be a Good ThingTM... ehm... Dead ThingTM.

      From Men in Black

J: You do know Elvis is dead, right?

K: Elvis is not dead -- he just went home.

(Which was further documented in one of the HGGTTG novels. Coincidentally, my earth-year age will become The Answer this Thursday. I'm not sure I'll get the hang of it.)

I know Elvis is still alive, he keeps escaping the padded cell we put him in, ransacking the employee lounge refrigerator, & stealing all our Twinkies.

We find the refrigerator stripped of treats & all the peanut butter jars missing. Then we locate him back in his cell the next morning, surrounded by Twinkie wrappers, passed out in a sugar coma, & nobody can figure out how he relocks the door.

It leaves us all shook up.

        *Cough*

        =-)p

Last I heard - Elvis was fighting a mummy in a nursery home, along with JFK.

I refer my learned gentlemen to the Armageddon trilogy of books by Robert Rankin.

Rex Mundi, Elvis and Barry (the time travelling sprout) save the world from the anti-christ.

Great reading material, and the definitive biography of Elvis post-1977.
