    "Ops" seems to be the new management speak suffix meaning "no planning". It's applicable to almost anything where you can move fast, break things and sod the results.

      Back in the old days one might've had a chat with the users first. Figure out what they might like, and, er, y'know, prioritise and implement some of that.

      But agree, far more fun and less stress playing with tech and not listening to anyone else!

    Is this really so difficult? We really need an "A.I." to do this? I can still remember the time I had to use multiple routers to duplicate the same IP address on a network because some legacy software couldn't be modified to connect to a different address... Such fun.

    In my experience, it notifies you about every goddamn thing under the sun except for the events you actually want to see. It's basically the Clippy of system monitoring.

    Pesky customers don't know what's good for them. As soon as they line up some new customers who are willing to align with the cloudy AI vision, they can "unpause" the project.
