How does this case compare to the one where the American woman ran over a kid outside an RAF base, then claimed "immunity" from being charged with killing someone?

If the UK government had any balls maybe they'd arrange a hostage swap, cold war style.

Except for one there is a pretty clear cut case to answer, and the other hasnt even be proved to UK Civil standards yet - which are much lower than criminal standards.

It's been suggested that that's part of why they're fighting so hard to get him - they need a scapegoat so that no-one really questions why their due diligence was quite so lacking.

Due diligence was not lacking, there were quite a few HP bigwigs who were against this acquisition, but Apotheker pushed it through.

Unfortunately it's not HPs due diligence that is on trial here. It's the alleged cooking of the financial books that made Autonomy attractive to HP in the first place.

That's obviously in the context of Mad Leo seemingly wanting to buy them whatever the books said and in doing so, going against the opinion his own internal council.

Leo Apotheker was HP CEO at the time; the Autonomy acquisition was his brainwave.

"Criminal charges against Autonomy's Lynch will never be dropped"

Of course not. We all know how the USA can hold a grudge.

We also know how the USA can withhold its citizens accused from abroad of war crimes and keep them from facing trial.

Justice and freedom for all ? As long as you're white and USAian.
