    By 2051, we'll all have our brains hooked into to a global consciousness which projects custom avatars of ourselves into the minds of anyone else we want to talk to.

    Plus, HS2 will just about be getting finished.

    Laugh.....

    We may laugh, but I am pretty sure, that somewhere in the world there will be at least one machine running Xp in 2051. There are still plenty of bits of 1989 technology running today. Though of course, an Xp box in 2051 could well be 50 years old.

      I have a lot of pre-1989 technology running. Some pre-1980s as well. It works, is pretty reliable. Might not be quite so small or so power efficient as more modetn stuff but I'm in no rush to "upgrade".
