I'm glad it's not just me that sees "Colombian" and "pharmaceuticals" and thinks "Colombian Marching Powder" especially when the name "Escobar" features. I suppose it's a sign of the times that this is being pursued via the courts rather than the concrete overshoes route.
I was planning to make exactly this point, though I would add that he also wouldn't want to be tarred with the same brush as the Sacklers. He wasn't employing people to go out there are try to get doctors to up the dose of his products.
It's an interesting thought - given the number of people now dying of opioid overdoses, and the number of people killed in the course of Mr. Escobar's accountancy and marketing operations, he might come out looking a lot better than an "ethical" pharma owner.
