back to article ISP Monkeybrains cries foul over coronavirus fees after requesting more bandwidth. Zayo says it was all a mistake

Earlier this week, Monkeybrains, a San-Francisco-based internet service provider, asked ZayoGroup, a communication infrastructure biz based in Boulder, Colorado, to temporarily upgrade a network circuit from 2Gbps to 10Gbps. WTF?

Capitalism is a weird cookie, on the one hand it wants to farm people and turn them into little profit machines, but then on the other hand it wants to be protected by communisitic & socialist ideals, both of which capitalism has stated very often how opposed to it it is.

I suppose cherry picking is a form of capitalism

Any other system has proved itself much worse. Don’t kick Capitalism if you never experienced anything else.

The article states, "Monkeybrains had requested an increase for the circuit's bandwidth, as part of normal operational growth, four months ago and never got a response."

That aspect of the interaction was not further discussed in the article.

Does Zayo admit dropping the ball on the original upgrade request?

One might think that the 4-month failure to respond would itself avoid any need to pay expedite charges.

(Heck, one might argue that Zayo should pay the customer a penalty fee for dropping the ball.)

Exactly. irregardless of a bio-crisis, failing to get off their ass for the past four months and do a task they should have done back then does not constitute "expediting".
