An IoT device that can be remotely updated doesn't sound very secure to me, especially if it's your front-door lock.

Obvious what's happening

I think it ought to be pretty obvious now to anyone with a brain cell what Microsoft are up to.

They are planning, in the long term, to replace the Windows NT kernel with a Linux kernel.

Windows in future will be like Android; another proprietary graphical user interface layer running on top of a Linux kernel.
