    They were hived off because HP (at the time) thought PC's were heading for the dustbin. But they are they only part of the orginal HP to actually do OK in todays climate.

      Wouldn't it have been handy to have some other line of business to take up the slack when another has problems? A well regarded lab instrument business for instance.

    HP NEW support line under Mr. Lores:

    "We're sorry your computer quite working, but you need to go to HP store and buy some genuine HP CPU cycles to continue running properly ..."

    The investors aren't too impressed...

    Weisler was seen as safe pair of hands by the investors.

    Shares are down 6.7% today.
