back to article It's us, only backwards. DXC registers new corporate entity: World, meet *drum roll* CXD Infrastructure Solutions

DXC Technology has said it incorporated CXD Infrastructure Solutions to house a data centre asset acquired under a co-location agreement with Credit Suisse, and not - as many staff fear - to offload legacy ops. There has been a restlessness at DXC. Perhaps no more so than usual, however this time it isn't related to …

That'll fool 'em, nobody will ever associate CXD with DXC.

What's the best thing about Switzerland?

What's the best thing about Switzerland?

Probably not a new DXC / CXD joint venture but the flag's a big plus.

Best thing about Switzerland? Their frugality. They even folded up their country to use as little area as possible!

    We will see...

Agree likely to be a spin off entity and why did they register CXD for Credit Suisse in a high tax rate country as UK - make more sense to register this entity in Switzerland!

One of the lads in our office made the suggestion that us "legacy IT" folks would be spun off and sold in the near future, as the company clearly only cares about "digital IT" now.

Whether this is that or not, it seems like he's right, and its coming. tbh, at this point, I welcome our new overlords - can't be worse than the current ones, can it? (says the person who's said this at least 4 times now!)

      Joke

I'd like to see them try non-digital IT... Analogue computers could be a lot of fun...

Legacy IT spun off and sold?

So DXC is doing what HPE did 2 years ago?

  7. EveryTime

That was the closest possible statement by a PR flack to just saying "tax dodge". I tend to believe it.

It probably took a whole team of apprentices a whole month to come up with that name, and then 3 months for it to be approved by one of the musical-chair L2s.

All the staff will be happy to know its not only the name that is backwards, you also have to pay THEM to work there

Never mind CXD, surely what we are dealing with here is a UXB?

    Luvvin' the optimism...

13 years!!! I give DXCXD or whatever they are called no more than 2 at best.

Back when I worked for Rebus (which went on to become Xchanging, which went on to become DXC eventually), we were bought out by a company called 'Suber' in order to become Xchanging so nothing changes!
