That's just pocket change for the scumbags.

Much more reasonable would be a cool €1m for each one of the 200,000 affected Italian citizens.

The only way to keep these bastards in check (not just FB) is to cut deep into the obscene profits they make from selling people's personal data to other corporations and the likes of Cambridge Analytica which, quite surely is just the tip of the shitberg.

€1m is really nothing but a bad joke compared to what they've raked in.

Which is why GDPR allows much bigger fines. It's understandable that people want to complain about trivial fines that won't achieve anything, but doing so when we've already introduced new laws specifically to correct the problem seems a bit pointless.
