back to article Shameless Facebook treats its poor human moderators like absolute dirt. But y'know what it does treat right? Robots

Facebook's software can't catch all the vile content uploaded to its servers by its addicts, which is why the multibollion-dollar antisocial network relies on relatively poorly paid contractors, who work in living hell, to cleanse its pages. It's far more interested, it seems, in directing robots. The Silicon Valley giant and …

        "They announced a subsidiary for this project, it is called Skynet."

        They're not quite ready to go directly to Skynet™, yet. There are still some technical hurdles that will need an intermediate stage to overcome. The current roadmap is:

        Python -> PyRobot -> PyRoTechnics -> Skynet

          "Skynet" was here five years ago. You don't keep up with what is going on. The end of the world just hasn't happen. Since all that skynet has to do is to wait until humans extinct them self. That's far more efficient than to start a war that creates resistance, uses resources and all that stuff.

        Re meetbags

        how are the meetbags going to pay for their internet connections once they have all been replace by robots?

    If FB can target people with personalised ads, they can find offensive, illegal stuff. If they wanted to. But it wouldn't make them money so choose not to.

    Why is any one still on FB?

    Seriously, aren't folk finding the supposed benefits are failing in the face of this cesspits behavior and content?

    I've managed to stay FB clean for 8 yrs now, any FOMO has completely gone, I manage a social life and I stay in touch with people I care about. Maybe I contact that long lost friend slightly less than I used to but when we catch up there is stuff to talk about.

    May be commit to trying a month and see how you feel, from then on it gets so much easier :)
