Meteor news - 3 months later?

- and exploded 25.6km above the Earth's surface. Impact energy of 173 kilotons.

For some reason I believed our government agencies were continually scanning the heavens & would alert us to events like this... sooner. Now that I think about it, might be just as well if they don't. I probably don't want to know if "a big one" is ever really headed our way.
