      Speaking of research it was interesting to see where in the world most of the downloading takes place. It was hard to draw clear conclusions. Was a large download the result of questionable ethics, political motivation, a large PhD student mass, large research efforts, or what?

      From my time as a PhD student I remember it took more time than I wanted to obtain various papers that now can be gotten off the net in seconds.
