When I were a lad, it was common to buy one's TV, sofa etc on the "never never"... hire purchase, renting, whatever you call it, but a nice man from Granada would come round each week for the money.
I thought such poverty-spec practices were a relic of the past, but it seems today's companies can't wait to embrace the same thing for their vital IT infrastructure.
