    Look behind the curtain...

    The reality is HDS is trying to bolster customers into keep buying its hardware. Why? The VSP is what is paying the bills and keeping the lights on. IoT is not making big money for them. They seem confused about which direction they really want to go, forward into IoT and Smart Cities, or backward into storage, which they were intending to abandon. Which is it? And... years to build new storage?!? Hope they can survive until that comes about. It's likely Hitachi Japan will abandon them long before then. Great products, excellent engineering, too bad the leadership can't get it together.
