    All very well

Although Lord Justice Fulford is experienced and respected, all he can do here is interpret the law, and then mostly behind closed doors. So where all the "investigatory power" laws were drafted by utter monkeys working for control freak simpletons, there's little he can do other than to offer a very intelligent interpretation of the shoddy work of clowns, and for the most part whatever he concludes we'll never know.

    Lord High Justice

Lord Justice Fulford. A LORD of justice.

Does he also wear a powdered wig?

    I had to laugh.

"Does he also wear a powdered wig?"

I don't know if the appointment's full time. If not he may also sit in court in which case he probably does wear a wig. Having had the opportunity to see a good many barristers and judges from the vantage point of the witness box I've never seen any sign of their wigs being powdered.

Do you have any relevant questions to ask?

The recommendation was for a commission

But then that might mean they had enough legs to find out WTF was going on.

And we know how that would sit with the assorted data fetishists who want this, don't we?

...and the first Commissioner is appointed by the person who fought tooth and nail as Home Sec to get this legislation through and then oversaw it's introduction as PM.

Of course it doesn't have teeth, because it doesn't exist. There's no commission. As the article quoted:

[...] an Investigatory Powers Commission, rather than just a commissioner, would be necessary [...]
