    Not surprising that companies lost customers, money, and opportunities because of an IT breach. What would be interesting to know is how long does it take for a company to recover its pre-breach levels. Also, how many financially weak companies suffered enough losses to go belly up?

    Indemnification for data breach

    It would be interesting to see what the Cisco report has to say regarding the indemnification the providers of the computer systems give to these commercial companys.

    @a_yank_lurker according to National Cyber Security Alliance in the US 60% of SMBs that get breached go bust within 6 months

    It usually takes a year to 18 months to return to pre-breach levels, Talk Talk are nearly there in the UK.
