Watching the linked news video, it seems that the police put tape around the 'crime scene' to prevent people contaminating any evidence, etc.

Not really a kneejerk since as the video progresses you see that what they were really trying to protect was the access/junction box, probably on an initial assumption by non-technical police officers, that someone physically hacked into the feed.

Did the guy who videoed the screen and posted it to Youtube also get done or is this a case of double standards? Youtube would be seen by far more viewers than a motorway billboard.

I'm sure there was another one from Indonesia about 2-3 years ago, where a contractor used the bill board to watch porn during his lunch break, but cannot find link at the moment.

Then again, Status Quo used to project pron onto buildings next to their hotel, so nothing is ever really new.

Now feeling really old for knowing who the Quo are.

Anyone who can use a computer to do more than browse the web, use a word processor and work out their expenses probably counts as an expert to the average newspaper reporter.
