Like sands through an hour glass
...so are the hacks of our coins
Bitcoin.org is warning that the Bitcoin Core, the as-close-to-official-as-it-gets version of Blockchain consolidation software and Bitcoin wallets, may become the target for an attack. “Bitcoin.org has reason to suspect that the binaries for the upcoming Bitcoin Core release [version 0.13.0] will likely be targeted by state …
"that has been targeted by state sponsored attackers that we know of at this point"
One of the characteristics of a state attack is that they tend to be much, much more careful about covering their tracks and making sure that the victims don't "know". Which makes it hard to tell FUD from truth.
The developers and technicians in Bitcoin no longer can afford to purchase it. They are watching us large institutional players acquire and hold the coin that they covet, but do not have the disposable income to retain. And so, inevitably, a few of them have realized that the best way to ensure that they can spend their bonus money this year on the coin that they work so hard to develop, is 2 spread fear uncertainty and doubt.
As we saw not too long ago it can be effectively taken out of action by a bored guy with a couple of hundred dollars.
If "state sponsored attackers" wanted to bring it down it would be gone by now, but the community is so hilariously awful that they don't need any help in wrecking it from governments.
