    Acer is the perfect example why a large corporation has to be multinational. Most of the reason they are in the trouble they are in is because its Taiwan or bust for them. They ran off their Italian CEO when he dared suggest they need to get in mobile and to do so they had to hire foreign engineers. The rest is well ...

      Crap support and quality, even in high price laptops is something people remember.

      My wife bought a 1200£ laptop from them.. and they disabled virt support on a bios update (one that fixed serious issues), and also requested AMD not to support the discrete GPU in that model.

      Of course, they wont relase drivers themselves after two years... great.

      these things give you a (bad) name.

    Dead cat bounce or stellar collapse?

    With their radiation pressure gone they can hope they're big enough for really good final explosion; supernova is more fun than just endlessly casting off shells of dust and dirt as you shrivel to nothing (see also: Nova, Nokia, Microsoft...)
