      Not sure why the Reg keeps referring to it as celebgate. It's always been known as the fappening.

    I'd like to know *how*

    Not that I want to hack such accounts, but I'd like to know if it was a real vulnerability or just weak passwords.

    The former I'd like to know about, the latter raises questions why repeat login failures did not lead to a temporary ban on the originating IP address like even the most basic fail2ban setup would enact.
