back to article JFrog's marriage made in ... well: Internet of Things, meet DevOps

CD vendor JFrog has proclaimed the Internet of Things (IoT) is the next frontier in DevOps as it ponders how to spend the $50m investment shot it received earlier this year. The vendor announced a raft of alliances and product tweaks at its user conference in Napa at the end of last month, including binary and container …

    Joke

Any relation to the medical acronym?

Sometimes written on the notes of a deceased (or soon to be) patient when there's no obvious reason:

Just F***ing Ran Out (of) Gas.

    Variations abound.

Investors in the IoT might want to reflect on this. I am not a qualified financial advisor. Seek independent professional advice. The value of your investment may rise as well as plummet into the depths.

“We are binaries people, and for devices and machines this is the only language they speak, they speak binary,” he continued.

    Erm, OK...

“Who is the consumer?” he asked. “The consumer will not be a human being, it will not be you or me. It will be devices or machines and this is what is called continuous update, this is where the world goes to.”

    WTF does that even mean?

“We are focusing on providing a very powerful pipe for binaries. We want to make software liquid.”

Ah, what you need is a blender. It transforms nearly anything into a liquid eventually.

If you've accidentally swallowed DevOps, we recommend a JFlaxative. This will help ensure your delivery is continuous and liquid, and your binary download will stream, unimpeded, through the pipeline.

    Sounds like Lord Bong

Methinks I detect an aroma of Thinkfluence. Clearly, this organization is an incubator developing truly disruptive technologies designed to catapult us into a shining future created by IOT-driven technology!

    Or not.
