Verizon is moving ahead with its mm-wave wireless plans, filling applications for 28 Ghz-band experimental licenses in the US. That is pretty weird. Apparently it's to do with the drug laws from the 1980's.

Down near the bottom of the 2nd page, it says broadcasters can lose their licenses, pilots can lose their licenses, etc, etc, etc. Not exactly the crowd I would think anti-drug legislation should be aimed at.
