    'AT&T's internal tools and the customer-facing applications share the same code in the cloud'.

    Since I am no cloud or security expert, how do you insure that code on the cloud does not get compromised? Could there be multiple iterations of the same code program/package on the cloud - with some corrupted? Clouds are foggy to me.

      You ensure that the code doesn't get compromised just like you ensure other code doesn't get compromised: cross your fingers, hope for the best, and review and test and analyze like mad.

      "Cloud" just means "somebody else's computers." In the case of Amazon, they give you their spare CPU cycles they aren't using.
