The next big thing and lots of startup getting lots of $$$$ to do what exactly?

I forgot, the sole aim of these little startups is to persuade a muh, much bigger comoany to buy their ideas very few of them actually ship anything) and make the founders millionaires many times over.

Those of us who have been around the block a bit can remember the .Dom bubble. This sounds awfully like rinse and repeat and fail misterable again.
