Does El Reg have an update on how things are going for Munich's Linux project?

Last I heard, the mayor was criticised for his attacks and he was refuting that this definitely had nothing to do with the planned location of Microsoft's datacenter...

There would/will inevitably be a tsunami of propaganda from the empire if/when they succeed in buying a conversion, of course, so I suppose no "news" = no change... but I'd also like to see a properly researched update on the situation, complete with interviews with key personnel. Sounds almost like proper journalism, doesn't it?! Perhaps the Reg could collaborate with Heise - they seem to have been following the situation quite well.
