    20,000 systems from Merkel's computer ?

    It will be interesting to see the fallout on that.

    On the one hand, goverment wants to be able to check what we are doing with ease (our current situation).

    On the other hand, government wants its IT, based on the same tech as ours, to be secure even from state-funded actors.

    That is one heck of a clash of interest.

    Recent developments forbid that the NSA export the captured data from the Eurosphere and keep it in a European Datacentre. I'm sure it can be recovered.

    These days the only wrongdoing appears to be getting caught. And even getting caught is ok, because there are no repercussions.

    They make promisses to stop spying on each other, then shake hands and smile for the cameras.

    Nothing changes.

    I suppose it is ok, because it has always been done. I just get annoyed with the wasted money.

    Instead of reading each others emails, can't you just go and stop the killing and drama in the middle east ?

    We're supposed to be impressed with your hacking abilities and omnipotent control, but you can't keep the dictators in line, which were put in place a few years ago...

    Let's give the russians a go in Syria, hopefully they're a bit more entertaining.
