a new motto...
Don't be evil.......YET!
P.
Google morphed into its new holding company, Alphabet, after close of business on Friday. The Chocolate Factory announced a huge rejig of its biz in August, when Sundar Pichai was crowned chief exec of Google. The ad giant's co-founder Larry Page and Sergey Brin now head up Alphabet as CEO and president. Google, meanwhile, …
Brin and Page the new Musk's?
Nope. For that you'd need a vision that extends beyond yourself and apart from the usual lawsuit wrangling (for instance, the usual Chinese brand theft), Musk seems to be able to make his money comfortably inside the boundaries of even international law. He doesn't have to do all the dodgy stuff Google gets up to.
'Don't appear evil'
New motto maybe? - The new name puts me in mind of pre-school tv programmes, or those plastic bricks you got to play with while sitting on the waterproofed mat.
Stage 3 is when they go all umbrella after deciding cars should be bio-engineered from leeches.
Time magazine says "Alphabet has dropped 'Don't be Evil' mantra from it's code of conduct." At least they are honest about their tracking business model. Google has always been one of the more evil tech companies out there. Once Google has all the info they can slurp up about you, all kinds of REALLY evil folks (like Hillary Clinton) likely know your secrets. Are your privates on her server?
> "all kinds of REALLY evil folks (like Hillary Clinton)"
Sure you didn't want to add an admonishment about the 'liberal media league' in there as well?
You do know it really doesn't matter who you vote in the white house, don't you? It's all a circus.
At least in the U.K we now have breadth of choice of nutter, not just shades of the same spoon-fed capitalist right-winger clones.
