It gets complicated... 0, 6, 8 and 9 are considered lucky. 4 ("sei") sounds like death, so stay clear, but 54 ("ng sei") sounds like no death, so that's good. If you're creative enough... who knows what explanations you can invent.

Sorry to be a pendant, the Chinese dont really do engagement rings; the money WOULD probably buy a very nice wife though - the Chinese still have "Bride Prices".

Our Chinese friend could have saved a load of money and got a permanent lucky number that never wears out. Universal Cloud-based numbers are designed for this very purpose. Search Flextel for 6666 or 8888 or even 6969! Lol!
