    This might just be me..

    ..and I've never used it, so I could easily be missing something - but what is it about Periscope that's special? What does it do that any other "film some stuff, shove it on the web" app doesn't?

    Genuinely curious.

      Just a thought but wouldn't it be useful for activists? Flat refuses all my tablets so I have no exact idea. Of course the Twit tie-up may contribute some value since Twitter was so rude to disable access to that part of the API by third parties.
