Ericsson buys Sunrise Technology

Ericsson, which has just laid off 2,200 people Sweden and which plans more cost cutting around the world has already started spending the savings by buying the IT business services part of Chinese outfit Sunrise Technology. The pattern is that they will leave it alone for 2-3 years, then "Ericsson Core" will begin to sink their tentacles into everything: Travel, Procurement, Design, Revision Control, Programming Languages, RTOS's, Communication, Documentation ..... after another 3 years, the main activity will be Brownian Motion, staff bouncing between starting and closing PROPS-projects, the only product delivered on schedule and budget will be the CO2 for the office plants (except that these are plastic, to save costs) and many truly beautiful & stunning Powerpoint presentations.

Yes - that happened too. They even had the the very traditional touch of two men and one women in business suits with clipboards on the prowl through the building - before the mass "outplacements".

When one sees people in business suits with temporary ID's .... It is time to get that CV polished up to full brightness and off to the job sites, before the crowds get there!
