    By adding a virtualization gateway like IBM SVC / VPLEX etc then any AFA vendor in the market could claim the same, but what do those products add in terms of latency, complexity and overall cost.

    HP could claim the same with any current 3PAR including the AFA variant by simply turning on their inbuilt Peer Persistence feature, no external virtualisation engines etc required.
