you negotiate a fee for one or more pictures, the money is exchanged between client and model and the pictures are sent. After ten seconds, they largely disappear forever and both parties remain satisfied.

    10 seconds?

that's not a lot of satisfaction per second compared to free, how could that ever sound like a good idea?

i can just imagine a new sport in racing against the timer!

Why is that when a man sends naughty pictures to a woman its sexual harassment, but when a woman sends a man naughty pictures it's 15 tokens each?

can we, like, have a compulsory tax system replaced by voluntary contributions? I'm sure the honourable gentlemen on the left, right, and in the middle, would be in favour!

That’s not a conversation you have with the spouse and kids around the dinner table."

that's why it's been re-named "adult enterntainment industry", innit? So that the spouse and wife don't need to pretend they're shocked. Or jelous.

Actually, I don't see why not. I had much that conversation back in the early 00's when we considered with a friend investing into online porn. From the little research we did (I can see your comments coming from a mile here :) ), we were not entirely satisfied as regards the safety and dignity of the models' working conditions so we let that pass. But the conversation was had, after all it is just another legitimate business--the rest is all down to your cultural background, and I respect people who may not be comfortable with this, same as those who may not want to invest on other quite legal businesses such as defence, genetic research, etc. Horses for courses, let's just all get along, and all that.

Wasn't Snapchat the respectable company which...

...not too long ago got repeated heads-ups from security researchers about their gaping security holes? Didn't they then talk it down just to get bitten by it big time just a couple of days later, revealing information that wasn't meant to be seen by those who lifted it? And then, shortly after, they were still talking the issue down?

Yeah, sure, let me give you my credit card details right now!

Pint of beer icon, because I'm looking forward to the headlines already...

...........we assumed was principally used by teenaged exhibitionists.

Did that really pass as respectable?

As far as I remember, once you are paid for something you cease to be an amateur and are a professional. Or have things changed since I learnt English?

So is this what capitalism has become? People throwing money at something that has yet to find a reasonable way to make a profit?

If there was anyone left doubting that Snapchat's business model was entirely built around nude selfies, this should fix it.
