    Underrated Location

    Yep, not surprised, quite a few French companies use it as their version of India, and have done since the early 90s at least. Good English skills as well.

      Vietnam was run by the French before about 1960. As a former colony I found French still spoken in parts.

      Back to the topic,

      Yet more production capacity for Samsung to produce yer more different phones. Ok but how much profit will they extract from each one?

        I was wondering that too. We keep being told that Android phones are a race to the bottom in terms of price and profit, so maybe Samsung know something we don't.

        Or they are just throwing good money after bad.

          Vietnam is the "new China" for outsourcers, since wages in China have been driven up and up. So Samsung is racing to the bottom, by building somewhere with even lower wages than China.
