This is like Android but for el Reg's forums - there's a gap in the market (thanks to Eadon's "departure"), and Google have come up with something to fill it...

Every day it installs some new and unwanted search bar (as part of a critical update process) despite everyone unchanging the box and every day everyone uninstalls it. The next day when you system checks for updates it realises you are missing this vital piece of technology and duly reinstalls it for you.
